About the Tournament

This is the second edition of this tournament which was first organised by local rugby enthusiasts, a couple of Argentinians and a New Zealander who have been living and playing rugby here for several years and all of whom had the same vision of an enjoyable day of rugby 7s on the beach!

The first edition was such a success and attracted a lot of interest from the public that we decided to add two new sections, Veterans and Womens.We also have this new website in English and Spanish which will hopefully attract overseas interest and make it an attraction for future editions.

Rugby is a sport in which traditionally gives a lot of importance to moral values. From a young age, rugby teaches you a series of positive qualities like friendship, respect, discipline, sacrifice and devotion.

The organisers of this Beach Rugby tournament would like to combine all these values in one day and that it becomes a benchmark tournament for the future.
The shortened version of Rugby Union is normally played in one day or over a weekend for bigger tournaments with games consisting of two halves of 7 mins except for the finals which are played with two halves of 10 mins and teams consist of 10 players with 3 substitutions.
