Definition of After-Match Function
A very important part of rugby is the After-Match Function. It is one of the few team sports that exists in where both teams get together after what is sometimes a bruising encounter to laugh and enjoy each others company through joking and singing.
From here, lifelong friendships are formed and the behaviour, ethics and code of conduct that are displayed are unique (which can be a good thing or bad thing, usually good though) but is something which is rarely seen in other sporting codes.
For junior teams they celebrate with soft drinks and snacks and for the adults they have a meal and a few beers or more with entertainment such as a DJ etc..
